Ref - Valdis

Valdís: 51-year old Valdís is the mother of Aegir, and adoptive mother of Draugr. She's a devoted mother and very patient with both of her rather difficult sons. Valdís gets along well with Skadi. The two grew up close together and have a long history of helping each other through birthing and child-rearing. She have also helped Rán through the birth of her son Máni.

Valdís is a name of Old Norse origin, derived from "valr" (the dead) and "dís" (goddess).
